Studio Immersed

Maui art studio founded in 2025 by two best friends looking for a space where they could bring their ideas to life designing, drawing, sewing, crafting, and creating pieces inspired by a fascination with the underwater world and nature. Every piece that comes out of this studio is design and hand made on Maui.

At its heart, Studio Immersed is about friendship, curiosity, and the freedom to play. It is a place where ideas can change, mistakes can become part of the process, and each new piece helps us discover our own style.

We want to thank you for being here and supporting our small, women owned business.

Studio Immersed is based on Maui and available worldwide.

Our Mission

Studio Immersed exists to create beautiful, lasting art and jewelry while respecting the ocean that inspires it.

We are drawn to rare and unique materials, to the small imperfections and natural variations that make each piece completely its own. In nature, no two things are ever exactly alike, even when they may look similar. We believe that individuality is what makes something truly beautiful.

We use minimal plastic in our packaging, and produce in small, intentional batches to reduce waste. We believe luxury should feel conscious, connected, and enduring.

Meet the Founders

Luz Vazquez

I’m Luz Vazquez, an artist and designer originally from Argentina. I studied graphic design and photography before moving to Maui.

In 2018, it felt like destiny brought two incredible artists into my life: Perri Ricci and DeWitt Lickle. Perri taught me the art of jewelry making, and DeWitt introduced me to gyotaku, the Japanese art of fish printing. To this day, I truly believe these connections were meant to be.

Through them, I learned to appreciate the small imperfections that make every piece feel rare and completely its own. I continued my education at Hui No‘eau, where I’m still learning about metalsmithing and printmaking.

I’m always exploring how the different parts of my creative life can come together. My work is constantly evolving, and Studio Immersed gives me a place to play, experiment, make mistakes, and slowly discover a style that feels like my own.

Clara del Castillo

I met Clara on Maui, even though we were both born in the same place on the other side of the world. We immediately connected through our love for the ocean and movement.

There is something so strong and natural about our friendship that people are always mistaking us for sisters. She is my go-to person when I need to make a decision, share a story, celebrate something exciting, or have someone beside me when I’m sad.

When I had the crazy idea of opening a studio of my own, I couldn’t bear the thought of doing it by myself. Asking Clara to be part of it simply made sense—and it also meant we would get to hang out even more.

Clara has the most amazing eye for things that feel beautiful, different, and rare. She brought her own taste, ideas, and energy into the studio, making Studio Immersed something much more special than I could have created alone.
